Our walk will start at the station where the legendary 'Orient Express' arrived. You will learn interesting facts about its composition, route, and famous passengers. On the way to the Egyptian Bazaar, we will encounter architectural monuments of Ottoman and Art Nouveau styles, enjoy the smell of coffee, get a top view of Galata Bridge, Suleymaniye Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace. Along the Golden Horn waterfront, we will talk about Istanbul's strategic location and recall the legend of the city's foundation. After that, we will follow the footsteps of Russian emigration and discover the most delicious street food delicacies.
All shades of Istiklal Street
After a short break and tasting the most delicious baklava in the city, we will continue exploring Istanbul by visiting the city's oldest tunnel and strolling along Istiklal Street. Here is concentrated the full diversity of the city's colors and its inhabitants - a true Eurasian kaleidoscope! You will observe the details of local architecture, encounter numerous shops of global brands and Turkish boutiques. Finally, you will have lunch with one of the favorite dishes of Turkish sultans - the famous Kalkangolu pilaf.
