Stalin Museum in Gori
In the city of Gori, you can visit the Stalin Museum. The palace in Gothic Stalinist style - the main building of the complex - was built in 1951 as a museum of local history, but from the very beginning, it was conceived as a Stalin memorial. The exhibition is chronologically divided into several halls, displaying many artifacts that actually belonged to Stalin, including furniture, personal items, and gifts. Exhibits such as documents, photographs, drawings, and newspaper articles are on display. You will also see the famous armored train of the leader of the peoples.
Prehistoric past of Georgia - Uplistsikhe city
You will visit the ancient cave city of Uplistsikhe, one of the oldest settlements in Georgia. Carved into the rock, it emerged at the end of the 2nd - beginning of the 1st millennium BC. The city-fortress captivates with its unusual appearance and is one of the most important monuments of Georgian culture. During the tour, you will not only admire this extraordinary creation but also realize its uniqueness and value - thanks to its structure, the city has preserved remnants of architectural and cultic structures built over several millennia. During its heyday, Uplistsikhe included over 700 caves and cave structures, of which only 150 have survived to this day.
Organizational Details
During the tour, we will stop for lunch at one of the local restaurants where you can taste the legendary Georgian khinkali or shashlik (not included in the tour price).
