About this experience
I will start by saying that my walk is suitable not only for those who follow fashion in clothing and accessories, but also for those who understand the wide range of interests of a 21st century man. To do this, it is worth setting aside a separate day in Amsterdam, as you can get lost here due to the variety of choices and the scale of the city's shopping space.
What to Expect
Let's start with a short meeting in a cafe, where we will outline the interests and goals of the walk, choose the direction and means of transportation: on foot, by bicycle, or by car. In Amsterdam, a millionaire differs from a street musician only in the contents of the wallet - a democratic appearance and a 'two-wheeled friend' will help us see more, be accepted everywhere, and also allow us to bargain.
Amsterdam has never strived to imitate anyone, so it has gathered original clothing collections from different countries and times. But its own artists, jewelers, craftsmen, and designers have been working here five centuries ago and continue to perfect their individual style to this day. We will visit vintage shops, popular malls, and salons of aristocratic fashion, the history of each of which equates it to a museum, and I will tell you about it. We will admire classic watches at an old diamond factory or in a gallery of the newest design.
A guide in Amsterdam is not only useful for metrosexuals. Men's hobbies require serious attention, and the collection requires replenishment. A certain piece of furniture, a worthy painting, an antique chandelier, a rare book, an exotic musical instrument, a pirate musket, a valuable stamp, or equipment for a modern yacht may be the goal of our walk.
I will be happy if you specify your range of interests when applying.
The famous artisanal and merchant port of the 17th century has not lost its trading traditions and skills. It is no coincidence that the Russian word 'yarmarka' is formed by merging the words 'year' and 'bazaar' in Dutch. I will plan our route to visit a couple of presentations or tastings. The cuisine is worth noting additionally! I will be glad to introduce you to a short but unique list of local delicacies, some of which are not even exported.
The frugality of the Dutch convinced me that everything can be found if you try hard and still believe in a stroke of good luck. During the tour, we will walk through one of the colorful markets of Amsterdam. Perhaps companions would be skeptical about this, but we know that there are amazing finds in unexpected places!
