About this experience
Vancouver has been named the 'Best City on Earth' three times. As you travel through its central districts and surroundings, you will see historical buildings and skyscrapers, art galleries and stadiums, beaches on the Pacific coast and picturesque parks. And I will tell you about local traditions, history, and culture!
What to Expect
All the colors of Vancouver
In the city center, you will see the commercial street Robson, an art gallery, and the magnificent library building resembling the Colosseum. And also the main symbol of Vancouver - Canada Place, from where cruise ships depart to Alaska. In addition, the excursion program includes:
- Queen Elizabeth Park - built on the site of a former quarry, it will impress you with elegant floral compositions and magnificent views of the city and mountain peaks.
- Olympic Village - a residential area built for the 2010 Olympics using modern eco-friendly technologies. You will see solar panels, parks, green roofs, a beautiful promenade, cozy cafes, bustling breweries, and cool views of Vancouver. And I will tell you about the city's sports life, the BC Place and Rogers Arena stadiums, and show you the Science World building shaped like a giant crystal ball.
- Chinatown - you will hear the story of the appearance of Chinese immigrants in Vancouver, visit the picturesque Chinese Garden, and see old houses, the Millennium Gate, and the narrowest commercial building in the world.
- Gastown - one of the most vibrant and stylish places in Vancouver with trendy shops, galleries, and restaurants. Most of the brick buildings here have been preserved since 1886. You will see the steam clock, listed in the Guinness Book of Records, and the statue of 'Gassy' Jack at Maple Tree Square.
- Stanley Park - a 405-hectare evergreen peninsula. It will charm you with century-old trees, cozy walking trails, totem poles of the indigenous peoples of the British Columbia coast, and the Prospect Point lookout with a panoramic view of Lion's Gate Bridge, the North Shore, and Burrard Inlet.
- Coal Harbour - one of the most expensive areas in Vancouver with the famous Seawall promenade and an airport where planes land right on the water.
