Rich and invigorating scent of lemons, dazzling bright colors of the coast, welcoming smiles of Italians! This is what will accompany us throughout the entire walk. I will show you two lemon factories, where you will taste many varieties of liqueur. I will lead you along a fragrant fruit path to visit the locals. You will experience the full color of the coast - and by the end of the walk, you will already be planning your next trip here.
What to Expect
Mini Lemon Factory and Other Curious Places
Our picturesque walk will start in the town of Minori at the oldest villa on the coast, built in the 1st century BC. After exploring the building, we will head to a small lemon factory, where you will be greeted by a friendly Italian - the owner of the factory. He will gladly share the secrets of making limoncello (I will be the translator), step by step show the process of its preparation, and of course, treat you to different types of the drink! There are many flavors here - from classic to pistachio, they will definitely not leave you indifferent :)
After the tasting, we will reach Villa Romana, where you will admire the embodiment of local culture in the interior - with antique tiles and curious antique items.
The Lemon Giant
After a break following the first tasting, we will head to the second - to a huge lemon factory! Here you will see large juicy lemons that only grow on our coast. They are sorted for sale and used to make limoncello, but there are so many fruits left that another building is being constructed to set up cosmetics production. You will taste the most delicious local liqueur, see how the drink is produced on a large scale, and also, if desired, be able to purchase a couple of bottles.
A Juicy Path to the Locals
Ripe grape bunches, kiwi fruits, fragrant lemons - a riot of colors and magical aromas - and all this right above your head! You will walk along a picturesque lemon path, visit a local Italian family - their house with a garden faces the sea - and if you wish, have lunch right here. The hosts will lovingly prepare a traditional and very unusual 4-course meal. I'll tell you a secret - lemon is an important ingredient in each of them! But I'll reveal more details on the spot, let a touch of intrigue remain in the walk.
After a hearty meal surrounded by delightful views, we can pick juicy ripe lemons in a wicker basket, take soulful photos, and, having fully imbued with the aromas of the garden and enjoyed the southern atmosphere, - head to the town of Maiori, where our walk will end.
