Private excursion along the Amalfi Coast with a taste of limoncello from Salerno
About this experience
The Amalfi Coast may seem like the most beautiful place on earth, but behind the scenes lies hard work. This includes building houses on mountain slopes with the help of donkeys (even to this day), growing and hand-picking lemons, fishing. I will tell you all about this and much more on the trip. I will show you not only the beautiful picture, but also the local realities. I will treat you with limoncello made from lemons from my garden.
What to expect
Ravello
This is the cultural center of the coast. You will see the square with famous pine trees and the city's main cathedral, elegant streets with tiny cozy parks, and, of course, Villa Rufolo - the residence of the famous music festival. You will learn about the adventures of Jacqueline Kennedy and how she set the trend for Capri.
Amalfi
In the historical capital of the region, we will look at ancient fountains, lemon terraces, the Cathedral of St. Andrew, where the relics of the saint - the patron of brides are kept. I will tell you about the maritime exploits of the brave locals, as well as about lemon plantations.
Gastronomic discoveries
For lunch, we will visit a fish restaurant in the port of Amalfi. If you wish, you can try fresh seafood, fried squid, or cheese baked in lemon leaves. We may have dessert at the historic pastry shop from 1830. And then I will treat you to limoncello at a panoramic point with views of the city and the lemon terraces.
