About this experience
The aroma of hot flatbread, colorful houses, the handsome Mount Ararat on the horizon - the capital of Armenia has an incredibly cozy atmosphere. We will meet you at the airport and show you the most important sights in the city - from the Cascade to the main square. You will walk along the avenue where stars and artists like to stroll and admire the beauty of the famous singing fountains. And then we will take you to the desired point in the city.
What to Expect
The driver will meet you at the airport with a sign with your name and take you to the city center in a comfortable car. There you will be greeted by a Russian-speaking guide. You will walk through the main attractions of Yerevan, and after the tour, the driver will take you to your hotel.
During the walk, you will see:
- Cascade. You will see beautiful sculptures and the monument to the chief architect of Yerevan, Alexander Tamanyan. You will learn what fragile stone the complex is made of and when it was ceremonially opened.
- Freedom Square. You will see the building of the opera and ballet theater named after Alexander Spendiaryan, considered a marvel of Armenian architecture and a symbol of Yerevan.
- Northern Avenue - one of the favorite places of locals and tourists, always bustling and crowded. Here you can meet Armenian showbiz stars, politicians, street musicians, and artists.
- Republic Square - the main square of Armenia, where concerts and parades regularly take place. It is also known for its singing fountains, where locals and city guests gather in the evenings to listen to beautiful music and admire the play of colorful water jets.
- Republic Square Metro Station - located in the heart of the capital, right next to the square, on Nalbandyan Street. A few steps away is the famous Vernissage market, where the best specimens and works of Armenian applied art masters are gathered.
Organizational Details
- You can visit a cafe if desired. Food and drinks are paid for separately.
- The trip is made in a comfortable car Kia Sorento, Toyota Camry, Nissan Bluebird, Toyota Alphard, Honda Elysion, or Honda Odyssey depending on the number of travelers
- The road from the airport to Cascade takes about 30 minutes
