About the organizer
I have been living in Shanghai since 2000 and did an internship at Fudan University. This time gave me the opportunity to interact with famous Russian writers and poets, actors and musicians, church hierarchs and scientists, journalists and politicians. I wanted to show 'my Shanghai' to each of them - a city that changed before my eyes and in many ways became my destiny. Many of these meetings with interesting and profound people evolved into friendships. Traditions, way of life, and characters of the Chinese became a subject of further discussion over evening tea. And at some point, it occurred to me that 'my Shanghai' could be shown not only to friends, but also to those who could become them.
