About this experience
On a comfortable crossover before sunrise, we will head to Halaktyr beach. This is not only a coast with black volcanic sand, but also a place of power for locals! You will see the sunrise, hear stories about volcanoes and tsunamis, and enjoy unreal views.
What to expect
On the way to Halaktyr beach, we can see foxes sitting by the road. We will definitely stop to take a closer look at them and take photos.
At the beach, you will enjoy an incredible view of the domestic volcanoes. I will tell you why they got this name, how volcanic sand is useful, and how it appeared.
You will watch as the darkness dissipates, the sun appears, and the sky turns blue. You will have breakfast with fresh snacks with red fish. Optionally, you can start the day with champagne.
We will walk along the beach, pick berries - cranberries, rose hips, fireweed. And brew delicious tea. And after the sunrise, we will climb to the observation deck on the hill, and I will show you where the village of Halaktyrka was located, which was washed away by the tsunami.
