About this experience
The Sinharaja Forest in Sri Lanka is one of the few remaining primeval rainforests on the planet. It is under government protection, and access is strictly controlled. There are several routes through the forest. A guide will take you to the most interesting places, show you rare plants, and if you're lucky, animals - monkeys, wild boars, reptiles, and insects.
What to expect
To fully enjoy the tranquility and harmony of the sanctuary, we'll start the forest tour at 8 a.m. The walk will take place amidst picturesque landscapes. You will admire waterfalls, streams, hills, and tropical trees.
The Sinharaja Forest is home to many endemic species of plants and animals, meaning those found only in Sri Lanka. You will see unique birds, butterflies, snakes, and amphibians. The guide will explain how rare plants of these places, listed in the Red List, look like.
