About this experience
Vladimir preserves masterpieces of white-stone architecture from the 12-13th centuries and early Christian shrines. We will visit one of the first Orthodox churches in Russia and the Bogoroditsky-Rozhdestvensky Monastery. We will talk about the history of the city, the Mongol invasion, and the famous people born here. Immerse ourselves in the energy of the sacred places and maybe discover something new within ourselves.
What to expect
We will visit the city's attractions, which are not only imbued with the culture of Ancient Russia but also included in the UNESCO World Heritage List:
- Assumption Cathedral, where the frescoes of Andrei Rublev and Daniel Chyorny are located, the necropolis of Vladimir princes, and miraculous icons.
- Dmitrievsky Cathedral, built in 1193 among the first Christian churches after the baptism of Rus. It preserves frescoes from the 12th century.
- Golden Gate, considered the heart of Vladimir
- Intercession Church on Nerl in the village of Bogolyubovo, where, according to legend, the appearance of the Virgin Mary took place

During our walk, we will remember famous people born in Vladimir, such as the Antarctic explorer Admiral Lazarev or the 'Voice of Victory' Yuri Levitan. We will delve into the details of the city's history - from the Mongol invasion to the present day, and discuss the royal dynasties ruling before the Romanovs.
Organizational Details
- The trip takes place in a comfortable Hyundai Creta car. Travel time is about 2.5 hours one way.
- The route includes free time and a lunch break at a cozy restaurant in Vladimir - places are booked in advance based on your preferences. Lunch is paid for by you.
- When visiting the temples, women should cover their heads with scarves, dresses should be below the knees. Men should not wear shorts.
