About this experience
Versailles is not only the famous royal palace and picturesque gardens, but also antique shops, well-kept houses, exquisite boutiques, cozy pastry shops, and bustling markets. I will help you explore all the facets of this amazing city and understand what it means to 'breathe the air of Versailles'.
What to Expect
Inside Versailles
You will explore the churches of Notre-Dame and Saint-Louis, wander the secret streets, peek into the Royal Hospital courtyard and Musketeers' Square. You will also see the city's 'landmarks': the majestic gardens and splendid Grand and Petit Trianon palaces. Finally, you will taste exquisite pastries in a tea salon, visit France's most beautiful market, and learn what it has in common with a phoenix.
Versailles Secrets
I will tell you how Versailles came to be and its connection to Louis XIV, known as the 'Sun King'. I will unfold the history of the city quarters' construction and explain why the Royal Palace is not the only chateau in Versailles. Additionally, I will share the insider tips: where to try the most delicious desserts, which streets to stroll, and what other interesting places to visit.
