Valencia from Postcards: Route through the Historic Center
My tour covers the main attractions of Valencia's center. We'll meet at the operational bullfighting arena, walk through the solemn Town Hall Square, and explore the medieval Carmen District. You'll admire the Cathedral, which houses the Holy Grail Chalice, and the Silk Exchange building, a Gothic masterpiece from the 15th century. We'll stroll through the beautiful Central Market, find the narrowest building in Europe, and pass through the city gate — Serranos Gate. You'll see remnants of ancient Valencia at the Almoina Archaeological Complex and take a walk in the magnificent park along the Turia River.
Understanding Spain and Spaniards
The sunny streets of Valencia will backdrop funny and somber tales about the city from the Romans to present days. I'll talk about local traditions and customs, quirky aspects of Spanish life, and how Spaniards view their neighbors and foreigners. You'll notice the subtle details of typical Valencia and learn little secrets about making an impression on a local and even feeling like a Spaniard.
