What to Expect

I will meet you outside the airport building and assist with luggage. Then we will embark on exploring the city in a comfortable car. Our journey will consist of two parts.

Part 1: Historical Baku

• We will start the tour at the Double Gates of the Old City, where you will feel the atmosphere of ancient times and mystery.
• We will visit ancient bathhouses and caravanserais, which were important trade and cultural centers in the past. I will tell you about the role of these buildings in the history of Azerbaijan and the features of their architecture.
• If you wish, we will visit the Museum of Miniature Books, where artworks ranging from a few millimeters to a few centimeters are displayed.
• Then we will head to the Palace of the Shirvanshahs to admire the details on the facade and immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of eastern luxury.
• We will see the Maiden Tower, known for numerous legends and stories from the past.
• We will take a walk along the street where the legendary film 'Diamond Arm' was shot.
• We will explore the ancient market square and the ruins of the Chapel of Saint Bartholomew.

Part 2: Wonderful New Baku

• We will make a stop at the Bibi-Heybat Mosque, one of the oldest in Baku. It is the resting place of a direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad. Its decor combines elements of modern design and traditional Arabic architecture.
• We will continue getting acquainted with modern Baku near the Heydar Aliyev Center. While you admire the building's appearance, I will tell you about the first President of Azerbaijan's contribution to the country's development.
• For panoramic views of the city, we will head to Highland Park, the favorite recreation spot of Baku residents.

During the excursion, you will hear many legends associated with Baku. The stories will immerse you in the atmosphere of the times when oil became the engine of progress. You will learn about the millionaires of that era, their luxury, and influence on shaping the modern appearance of the city. I will also tell you about the rich culture, exquisite cuisine, and unique traditions of this amazing country.
