About this experience
I invite you to an exciting walk into the world of high art. In the heart of the Museum Island, we will visit the Old National Gallery with a remarkable collection of 19th-century paintings and sculptures. I will share stories about artists and paintings, as well as help you discover the highlights in the works of Liebermann and Bocklin, Monet and Renoir.
What to expect
During the tour of the Old National Gallery we will:
- explore the world of sculptures by the iconic German sculptor of the 19th century, Reinhold Begas
- find a special approach to the paintings of Impressionists: Claude Monet, Edouard Manet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Camille Pissarro
- appreciate the canvases of representatives of Romantic Historicism - Adolph Menzel and Max Liebermann
- unravel the mystery of works by the vivid symbolist Arnold Bocklin
- discuss little-known facts about the enigmatic paintings of Franz von Stuck
- admire the enchantingly melancholic works of the Romanticist Caspar David Friedrich
My main goal is to make you fall in love with art and show its charm in every style and era of painting.
