The heritage city of the Medici family
In 2.5 hours, we will cover key squares, basilicas, palaces, and other Florentine attractions; all of them are inseparably linked to the influential Italian Medici family. In the main Duomo square, you will admire the Baptistery door, called the gates of paradise, and Giotto's bell tower, marvel at the jewelry box cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore. You will also visit other basilicas: Santa Maria Novella - the Dominican church, San Lorenzo - the beloved basilica of the Medicis, and Orsanmichele, where the miraculous icon is kept. You will also peek into the inner courtyards of three palaces: Medici-Riccardi, Vecchio, and Pitti. To the latter, we will walk over the famous Golden Bridge across the Arno.
