About this experience
My tour will allow you to create a picture of Florence - the cradle of the Renaissance. You can expect fascinating stories, legends, and curiosities about the attractions and inhabitants of the city, about traditional cuisine and festivals, about the powerful Medici dynasty, their enemies, and conspirators.
What to Expect
Our tour will start at the Duomo square, where we will admire the exterior of the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, appreciate the Baptistry, write a letter to Beatrice in Dante's church, see the house where the great poet who created the 'Divine Comedy' lived, visit the Orsanmichele church, the Signoria square, gaze at the Palazzo Vecchio, the Loggia dei Lanzi, the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, the Holy Cross church, and even make a wish at the Porcellino ('Little Pig') on the New Market Loggia. You will learn a lot about traditions and the unique Tuscan cuisine.
I will narrate all of this with simplicity and clarity as we stroll through the streets and squares with architectural, sculptural, and pictorial masterpieces. We will see how the city lives, explore its works of art, learn about crafts and creators. And, of course, we cannot miss talking about traditional products and wines that will certainly not leave you indifferent! Additionally, I will recommend an excellent non-touristy restaurant where you can taste Tuscan dishes.
