Today, many gastronomic trends originate in this legendary place, and we can touch this part of the culture by finding ourselves in a 14th-century cellar hidden beneath a shop, surrounded by legendary bottles whose stories captivate and inspire.
Program
Let's start the evening in the secret cellar of our friends – the Vila family: we will have a tasting of Joselito's legendary cheese and ham, which will be cut by a real master of his craft - Frank, who has been working here for many years.
We will taste wines that attract sommeliers from the most famous restaurants in Catalonia to the legendary shop, seeking classics and novelties, as well as products that local gastronomy legends have been purchasing at the wine shop for years to shine with the best dishes made from impeccable ingredients in their establishments.
After trying marvelous wines and fabulous snacks, as well as taking some wine with us, we will go on a tour of the Born quarter, see Barcelona through the eyes of sailors, admire the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Mar, pass by medieval fish storehouses and brothels, through the narrow streets of the Born quarter, and reach the legendary old Port.
Organizational Details
The tasting is not included in the tour price. Snacks and wine are chosen and paid for separately: around 15 euros per person for the tasting menu.
