About this experience
During a 5-hour group car tour with up to 20 people, you will discover the main sights of Old Delhi. Jama Masjid and Golden Temple, Sikh and Bird temples, Red Fort and city alleys... You will not only admire the architecture, but also learn about the transformation of New Delhi into Old, the construction of the city, and the historic figures that shaped the destiny of Delhi.
What to expect
Old Delhi, previously known as New Delhi
In the city's history, everything is as tangled as in the labyrinth of its streets, with a crazy mix of low houses and modern skyscrapers with wide avenues. I will tell you how the sultans built capitals here, what happened during the rule of the Great Mughal Shah Jahan, how Delhi continued to develop, and what is meant by the designations of Old and New city.
During this journey you will:
- visit Jama Masjid Mosque, where the guide will talk about the national and religious heritage of the entire Indian people;
- hear the story of the outstanding architectural structure - Red Fort - and the era of the Great Mughal Empire;
- visit one of the most picturesque places in the East - Chandni Chowk quarter, which is also the central market of Delhi, where you can buy everything from a pin to diamonds;
- learn the legend of Shah Jahan, who built the Taj Mahal and founded the "Street of Moonlight" for his daughter to be able to buy everything she desires;
- if desired, take a ride through the old streets on a cycle rickshaw to better feel the city's atmosphere;
- see Gurudwara Bangla Sahib Sikh temple and learn more about Sikhism;
- visit the Jain temple Lal Mandir, also known as the Red Temple or Bird Temple, where you will understand the meaning behind all its names;
- explore the Golden Mosque of the early 18th century and hear the tragic story that happened within its walls;
- if you get hungry, have lunch at one of the Indian cuisine restaurants in Old Delhi.
After a rich program, we will take you back to the hotel or, if needed, to the airport.

- The tour will be conducted by car or bus depending on the group size
- We will pick you up from the hotel and drop you back after the tour
- Please note: the tour will take place if there is a group of at least 2 people. Before paying for a single person, please inquire if the tour will take place.
