About this experience
Delhi consists of two worlds: the Old and the New. One exudes a colorful atmosphere of the past, while the other showcases modern temples, palaces, and parks. By exploring both parts of the city, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of Delhi. You will see rickshaws and street vendors, ancient mosques and the Lotus Temple, the Red Fort and the Presidential Palace. I will share with you the history and present of Delhi.
What to Expect
Old Delhi
Old Delhi is the heart of the city and its most authentic part. Here, you will experience the real India with hanging wires, street vendors, rickshaws, and street food. This is where the city's history began and where the main ancient monuments are concentrated. You will visit the Jama Masjid mosque and admire the Red Fort, which served as the ceremonial and political center of the Mughal Empire for almost 200 years.
New Delhi
In the modern part of the city, you will see the famous India Gate, the Presidential Palace, and the Government buildings. You will visit the world's largest Hindu temple complex, the Akshardham Temple, opened in 2005. You will also appreciate the unique Lotus Temple, where people of all religions can pray. As a final stop, I will show you two more interesting places: the Agrasen Ki Baoli water reservoir and the grand mausoleum of Humayun, where the Mughal emperor is buried.
