What to expect
Award and Stockholm
Every year on the evening of December 10, every self-respecting Swede puts aside all business and sits down in front of the TV - the live broadcast of the Nobel Banquet begins! I have done this more than once and at the same time have studied everything in the city related to this event, which I will gladly share with you.
Traditions and history of the prize
I invite you to walk the route of Nobel laureates, learn about the features and rituals of awarding the most prestigious prize, the etiquette quirks of today's and a hundred years ago social event, hear legends and stories about Alfred Nobel and his difficult life path. Of course, you will visit the famous Blue Hall of Stockholm City Hall and imagine how the laureates whirl in a waltz in the Golden Hall.
Banquet organization
I will also tell you about the complex organization of the largest banquet in Sweden. How do you prepare for 1200 guests? Why are there so many flowers at the banquet and where do they come from? How and where do florists work? Where do the tables, chairs, dishes and tablecloths come from? I will tell you all about this on the tour.
