About this experience
Stockholm is unlike most European cities, and Swedes adorn the northern capital in a way that balances illumination with the city's architectural style. I will meet you at any convenient location and we will leisurely stroll through the evening streets. You will visit central districts and islands and learn not only about the Vikings and their traditions, but also about the daily life of modern Swedes.
What to Expect
Old Town
We will walk through the Old Town and find the smallest sculpture in Europe. Explore the Knight's Church, the burial place of Swedish kings, and the ancient St. Nicholas Cathedral, squeeze through the narrowest alley, and enjoy a traditional Christmas Glogg at Stortorget. You will see runic stones and Viking heritage, learn interesting facts about the City Hall – the venue for Nobel Banquets.
Modern Stockholm
Walking to Stockholm's main waterfront – Strandvägen, you will admire the picturesque view. Then you will find yourself in the modern district of millionaires – Östermalm, where I will explain the concept of the 'Stockholm Syndrome'. You will see the city from various panoramic points and take the best evening pictures!
