What to Expect
Exploring Sharm el-Sheikh
Our Egyptologist guide, fluent in Russian, will pick you up from the hotel. On the way, he will share the city's history without overwhelming you with dates and names.
Soho Square. Both by name and appearance, this place resembles the entertainment districts of European cities. Here you will find charming locations with sculptures and lighting, European cafes, a music fountain. A stroll through the square will take about 1.5 hours for you to take photos, visit local establishments and shops.
The Temple of 'Heavenly Inhabitants'. Next, we will visit the Orthodox Coptic church. Some things here will be familiar to you, while others will surprise you. You will admire beautiful frescoes and murals, and the guide will tell you about the peculiarities of Christianity in Egypt. The time to explore the church is 30 minutes.
Old Town and El Sahaba Mosque. The next stop is the Old Town. Here you will see the city's largest mosque - El Sahaba, which accommodates 3000 people. The time to visit the mosque is 15 minutes.
Old Market Bazaar. Let's go shopping at the Old Market. This is the oldest, most famous, and cheapest market in Sharm. In the shops and stalls, you will feel the authentic atmosphere of an eastern bazaar. And here you must enthusiastically haggle with the vendors! The walking time is 1.5 hours.
Further, there will be short stops of 10-15 minutes.
- The most photogenic place in Sharm el-Sheikh - the fabulous Farsha Cafe on the slope of a cliff. You have definitely never seen anything like it! This place resembles an avalanche of old items, and in the evening, it is beautifully illuminated with colorful lights.
- El Mustafa Mosque, which amazes with its beauty and grandeur. Before the construction of El Sahaba Mosque, El Mustafa was the largest in the city.
- The 'Jewish Quarter' - the highlight of our program. Previously, there was an Israeli military base here. Now it is the poorest district in Sharm. You will see the living conditions of the poor in this resort. And from here, there is a magnificent view of the city.
- Another attraction is the monument to the victims of the Boeing-737 airplane crash. Here our tour ends, and we return back to the hotel.
