What to Expect
Cruising on a Motorboat through the Mekong Delta!
You will cruise on a large leisure motorboat past picturesque islands, floating fish farms, and stilt houses. You will also stop at local authentic settlements. In one, they produce coconut candies and snake wines, in another you can ride a horse-drawn cart, in the third - try tropical fruits and honey tea.
Rowing Sampan Ride
From the large boat, you will transfer to a traditional Vietnamese rowing sampan - and embark on a mesmerizing journey through a narrow picturesque canal. Admire the water coconut palms and watch the 'mudskippers'. The river trip will end with lunch at a local water restaurant serving exotic fish called 'elephant ear'.
Vinh Trang Temple
After lunch, we will return to the pier, hop in a car, and head back to Ho Chi Minh City. On the way, we will stop at the Vinh Trang Buddhist temple. It is one of the most famous temples in the region, built in the mid-19th century. Wander around the traditional Vietnamese garden, observe the four giant Buddha statues, and visit the temple rooms where you can witness the rituals of the local monks.
