Did you know that Goa was a Portuguese colony for 450 years? These years influenced its architecture, culture, and traditions. This is especially noticeable in the state capital of Panaji, where we will take you! You will stroll through the colorful Fontainhas quarter, see the Catholic temple, and visit a 15th-century fort. You will also cross the Mandovi River on a ferry.
What to Expect
We will explore the Portuguese heritage of Goa in the state capital of Panaji and its surroundings. In 1 day, you will:
- Visit the most beautiful fort in Goa - Reis Magos
- Enter the vibrant Hanuman temple, built with funds from the Portuguese government
- Stroll through colorful Portuguese streets in the Fontainhas district
- Walk along 18th June Road and admire the largest Azulejos in Goa
- Visit the Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary
- Cross the Mandovi River on a ferry
Optional: we will visit the Mall de Goa shopping center at the end, where you can have lunch and buy local gifts.
