About this experience
How did this tiny state on the Indian subcontinent become a territory of boundless freedom? Let's figure it out! You will embark on a journey to the most famous beaches and spots in North Goa that have been embraced by hippies, rebels, and regulars of flea markets. You will swim at three beaches, visit two Portuguese forts, and enjoy a fresh drink at the famous Juice Center.
What to Expect
- Vagator Beach. You will be greeted by the famous Shiva face—a stone monument carved by an Italian sculptor in the 1970s when a wave of hippies flooded Goa.
- Chapora Fort. This fortress was built by the Portuguese about 300 years ago. From the height, you will see the Chapora River flowing into the sea and enjoy views of Vagator and Morjim beaches.
- Juice Center. An establishment serving over 20 types of tropical juices, milkshakes, and fruit salads at affordable prices.
- Redi Fort. Here you can often see families of monkeys and enjoy panoramic views of the sea and Paradise Beach.
- Wild Paradise Beach. There are no hotels, civilization, noise, or crowds of tourists here. Just a couple of small cafes among palm trees where you can have a snack while enjoying tranquility. And while swimming in the clear water, you will feel like Robinson Crusoe on an island.
- Arambol. This is where all hippies and non-conformists of Goa gather, and life bubbles with bright colors. We will walk along the cliffs, swim in the fresh Sweet Lake, and witness a 'talent show' performed by local hippies at sunset. Maybe we will even dance to the beat of the drums with them!
