About this experience
You haven't seen the Phuket that I want to show you. And you probably haven't heard of the temples we will visit. Each of them is unique: one over 500 years old, another with statues of different deities, the third revered by the residents of Burma. Along the way, I will reveal the peculiarities of Thai Buddhism, tell stories about Buddha and the history of mahasiddhas - people who have reached the highest level of development.
What to expect
We will visit little-known temples, each with its own features.
- Wat Ko Sirey. At the top of the mountain near the temple, you will see a large boulder resembling the Burmese Chedi stupa. I will tell you why this place is precious to the citizens of Burma.
- Wat Khao Rang - a large temple complex where you can see the largest statue of a gilded Buddha.
- Wat Sri Sunthorn - a temple named after one of the local hero sisters. I will tell you this fascinating story.
- Wat Phranang Sang, the oldest temple in Phuket - about 550 years old. During this time, the temple has grown with legends, and you will definitely hear them.
- Pat Zhou (Pud Jor) - an ancient Buddhist-Taoist temple distinguished by an abundance of bright colors and statues of dozens of deities with which it is adorned.
- Chinese Temple Sangtham Shrai, also known as the Temple of Tranquil Light, which a hundred years ago was considered one of the most mysterious places on the island.
