About this experience
Tbilisi is inconceivable without visiting the Old Town. But there is another equally interesting district nearby, beloved by the pre-revolutionary wealthy Tbilisi residents - Sololaki. Both quarters have the perfect atmosphere for warm and expressive photo sessions! On a friendly walk without academicism, I will take you to the brightest corners of the capital, tell stories about the residents of old buildings that I have collected for a long time with trepidation, and of course, take photos that will forever capture the mood and soul of your hospitable Tbilisi.
What to expect
Picturesque facades and atmospheric courtyards of Tbilisi
We will explore the Kala (part of the Old Town) and Sololaki neighborhoods in search of amazing places hidden from the eyes of ordinary tourists. I will show you centuries-old schools and houses, their grand entrances with remnants of former luxury, authentic courtyards with spiral staircases, carved balconies, and eternally drying laundry. We will also be able to make a stop for wine/coffee/lemonade at one of the vintage establishments in the city.
Fascinating stories about the destinies of century-old buildings and their famous residents
There will be no abstract and boring lectures. I have prepared something better: a fun adventure with intriguing stories and love tales that I have personally sought and collected. Additionally, if you are interested, I will also talk about the nuances of modern life in Tbilisi - the aspect that usually falls outside the scope of overview excursions around the ancient city, but which nevertheless reflects the present 'here and now'.
Colorful photos for social media
This is not a standard photoshoot but rather an informal tour with the opportunity to take interesting and vibrant photos. I am not a professional photographer, but I know a lot about composition, light, and posing. I take photos on the phone as photos in this format often turn out more natural for social networks. You can bring along a couple of additional outfits to add variety to the photos. Bright items, long dresses, hats, scarves, and other accessories look great in the frame.
Organizational details
- Photoshoot is done with an iPhone 14 ProMax or your devices
- You will receive the original photos the next day after the walk. The number of photos usually varies from 100 to 300 per person. You can also choose 10 best photos for processing (color correction and light retouch if necessary).
- No additional expenses are expected, except for drinks along the way
