About this experience
This photo walk will not only give you wonderful pictures, but also allow you to feel like a true Istanbulite for a few hours. We will explore the Asian part of the city, where the real life of Istanbul flows and where you won't often encounter crowds of tourists. Strolling along the waterfront, the Eastern bazaar, the picturesque streets of the Moda district, you will feel the special mood of the city. And the cozy local cafes will be perfect settings for portrait photos!
What to Expect
Photo walk in the settings of Asian Istanbul
For colorful shots, we will head to the Asian Kadıköy and its Moda district - one of the most modern and cozy corners of Istanbul. We will start the walk from the pier with elegant ships and ubiquitous seagulls, stop by the ancient Istanbul bazaar on the way, and then walk through the photogenic streets of Moda. You will see that the vintage tram is not only on Istiklal, pose on the quiet waterfront where locals leisurely stroll. And if you love Turkish tea, we will make a short stop at the cool tea gardens.
Portrait photos in Istanbul cafes
Moda is the perfect area not only for lovers of interesting Istanbul perspectives, but also for connoisseurs of good coffee. During the walk, we will discover dozens of unique coffee shops - where, by the way, we can take wonderful portrait photos. For fans of the TV series 'Breaking Bad,' I will show a cafe inspired by the series. I will also recommend Asian Istanbul restaurants and cafes where you can go after the photoshoot.
Organizational Details
- Kadıköy - although not touristy, is still one of the most densely populated neighborhoods in Istanbul. Therefore, I recommend booking the photo session on weekdays or on weekend mornings to avoid 'traffic jams' of a large number of people.
- Depending on our pace, after the photo walk you will receive all successful photos after minor editing and 20 retouched photos of your choice.
