About this experience
The famous Pamir Highway connects Tajikistan with Kyrgyzstan and passes through the Pamir region with peaks of over 7000 meters. The road is considered one of the most beautiful in the world, and we are going to check it out! We will also try local pilaf, shashlik, and manty; learn what kurt is and where yaks graze; get acquainted with the way of life in settlements that has not changed for centuries. You will bathe in hot radon baths and relax at campsites near picturesque lakes. And all around you will see only majestic and mysterious mountains.
Organizational details
Participant age - 18+
You will need: comfortable sneakers or summer trekking shoes, windproof jacket, light down jacket, sweater/hoodie, hat or other headgear, cap, gloves, light beautiful dresses for vibrant mountain photos (optional), sunglasses, sunscreen and wind protection cream, swimsuits, flashlight, microfiber towel, small backpack (20-30 liters) for trekking, cash in rubles or dollars for exchange to somoni. A full list of necessary items will be sent to each participant closer to the trip.
For entry into Tajikistan, a vaccination certificate or PCR test within 72 hours before entry is required.
RF citizens do not need a visa for Tajikistan. A passport must be valid for 6 months after departure.
I strongly recommend obtaining insurance covering treatment up to 50,000 euros.
Importing and using drones is prohibited, but I will try to obtain permission for this tour.
