About this experience
This tour will give you a rich taste of Armenia in a short time - the beauty of nature and architecture. You will see the country's largest lake, ancient monasteries, take a cable car ride on the picturesque slopes of the resort. And learn how one man, who dug an underground passage beneath his own house, turned it into a sanctuary-museum.
What to expect
Levon's magical underground: a museum with indescribable energy and a strong magnetic field. Once a simple man, Levon, was asked by his wife to dig a cellar. But as he began, he saw an angel who told him to dig a sanctuary. And that's how the museum appeared in the village of Arinj, a man-made wonder of the 20th century. We will tell you why this is a family story for our team. You will wander through the underground and hear about the miraculous life and mysterious death of the master.
Ski resort Tsaghkadzor and Kecharis Monastery: Here, amidst stunning nature, you will find a gem of medieval Armenian architecture - Kecharis Monastery. You will learn the origin of the monastery's name and take a cable car ride to see the beauty of this place.
Lake Sevan and Sevanavank Monastery, whose fortress walls witnessed the Armenian-Arab battle in the 10th century. We will discuss why the lake looks the way it does, what the future holds for it, and what it means for Armenia. On the lakeshore, we will visit one of the fish restaurants - because to visit Sevan and not try the fish is like going to Moscow and not seeing Red Square.
