About this experience
Batur is an active volcano located at an elevation of 1717 meters. The ascent will take about an hour, with the descent slightly less. From the top, you will be treated to stunning panoramas of the caldera, mountains, lakes, and hardened lava fields. And the sight of the sun slowly rising above the clouds is simply indescribable. This is something you must see!
What to Expect
Conquering Batur
We will pick you up from your hotel at 2 am and head to the volcano. At the base, you will be greeted by a local experienced guide with hot tea, coffee, and pancakes. After a light breakfast, you will set off with him. Half of the way to the top will be by car, the second half on foot along a natural trail. The ascent is not difficult - all travelers can handle it. The reward for your efforts will be the stunning sunrise views of neighboring Mount Agung, Mount Abang, and Mount Trunyan.
Organizational Details
- Mount Batur entrance ticket is paid separately - $20 per person
- My brothers or I will accompany you in the transfer. A local guide will be with you on the trek.
- This is an easy trek for people with basic physical fitness
- The weather on the volcano is unpredictable. Fog, rain, and low visibility are possible.
- 2 small breakfasts are included in the price: before the ascent and at the summit
