About this experience
Agung is an active volcano located at an altitude of 3142 meters. According to local beliefs, gods reside on it, it protects the island from evil forces, and serves as Bali's spiritual center. Climbing Agung is a challenging task. The path to the summit goes through dense jungles and rocky slopes. But believe us, all efforts will pay off with the first rays of the sun!
What to Expect
Ascend the Sacred Volcano
In 10 PM we will pick you up at the hotel and drive to the foot of the volcano. At the parking lot, we will be met by a local guide who will provide torches - and you will set off with him. Conquering Agung is a tough challenge even for people with excellent physical fitness. One-third of the way you will have to climb a steep rocky slope at a 45-degree angle. The ascent will take 4-6 hours and the same for the descent. But the sunrise at the volcano's summit is worth it! You will see the sun waking up, look into the crater, and enjoy the fantastic view of the surroundings.
