What to expect
Obidos and the royal gift
You will find yourself in a charming town with a romantic history. Eight centuries ago, Obidos became a wedding gift from King Dinis to his wife. Since then, couples from all over the world come here to get married or enjoy their honeymoon. I will guide you through the narrow cozy streets and tell you about the city's castle.
Alcobaca and the majestic monastery
Our conversations will once again be about love, this time tragic. You will visit the Monastery of Santa Maria, where King Pedro I and his beloved Ines de Castro, known as the Portuguese Romeo and Juliet, are buried. I will introduce you to their story, as well as the legends of the monastery.
Nazare and the endless ocean
Here you will enjoy calming views of the Atlantic and taste local cuisine dishes in an authentic fishermen's restaurant.
Batalha and Portuguese Gothic
We will explore the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitoria - a late Gothic masterpiece with Manueline style details. It is considered the most beautiful monastery in Portugal. We will discuss the architectural features of the building and King of Portugal Joao I's victory over the Castilians in 1385.
