About this experience
Luang Prabang is the most popular city in Laos among travelers. There is everything here: ancient Buddhist temples, the legendary Mekong River, colonial architecture, the sacred Mount Phousi, waterfalls, and colorful markets. You will see all of this! You will also learn about local traditions, history, religion, cuisine, and everyday life.
What to expect
Monk Alms Giving Ceremony. Every day at dawn, monks receive donations of rice and fruits from the residents and guests of the city in complete silence on the central streets. If you don't mind getting up early, we will also participate in this ancient ritual.
Morning Market. You will get acquainted with the daily life and culinary preferences of the Laotians.
City sightseeing tour. Enjoy the panoramic view of Luang Prabang from Mount Phousi and stroll along the Mekong riverside, observing colonial houses. You will also visit two ancient Buddhist temples: Wat Xiengthong and Wat Visoun.
Kuang Si Waterfalls. Magnificent cascading waterfalls with turquoise lagoons - you can swim in them!
Organizational details
- Transportation and entrance tickets are included in the price
- Tour format: a walking sightseeing tour in the first half of the day and a car trip to the waterfalls in the second half
- Upon request, we can have lunch at a colorful city restaurant or in nature. Food and drinks are paid for separately.
