Join me on a unforgettable fragrant tour! We will visit historical and modern perfume boutiques in London, learn about their history, and discover the scents used by nobility, royal families, movie stars, writers, and even literary characters. Our route will take us through beautiful streets and passages. Each guest will enjoy discounts and surprises!
What to Expect
Perfume Chronicles
You will learn the history of the ancient Italian house Santa Maria Novella, founded in 1221 (yes, really!). You will try the scent that Catherine de Medici gave to her fiancé French King Henry II. I will tell you how the first Eau de Cologne was created.
Fragrant Stories
We will walk through cozy streets where such perfume houses as Penhaligon’s and Atkinsons 1799 were born. We will discuss the rise and fall of brands. We will find out which scents the last Russian Empress Alexandra Fyodorovna used and how the scent of Count Grigory Orlov's Eau de Cologne entered every English home.
Favorite Scents of James Bond and Marilyn Monroe
You will try popular fragrances made from ancient formulas. Discover which perfumes David Bowie, Oscar Wilde, Lady Hamilton, and even James Bond wore. We will visit the almost 300-year-old Floris boutique. We will discuss women's and men's perfumery. I will tell you what scents Marilyn Monroe preferred besides Chanel No. 5.
"Perfume Temple"
Our journey will end at the Jovoy Mayfair boutique. You will get acquainted with elegant historical brands - English Grossmith (1835) and French Houbigant (1775), as well as modern, experimental houses Contradictions in Ilk and Beaufort London. We will talk about perfume ingredients, the significance of natural and synthetic components in fragrances.
The boutiques will offer our group special deals and discounts on fragrances. At the end of the tour, each guest will enjoy treats and gifts.
