About this experience
The western shore of Sevan is unusual and very picturesque. We will head towards the town of Martuni where a horse farm is located nearby. You will meet these charming animals and have the opportunity to ride them if you wish. Additionally, you will visit a mysterious monastery from the 9-12th centuries and explore a family-owned cheese factory producing authentic Armenian cheese.
What to Expect
- Horse Farm: Located near the town of Martuni, you will enjoy an exciting horseback ride along the shore of Sevan and its impressive surroundings, accompanied by an experienced instructor. Even if you choose not to ride, you will still experience aesthetic pleasure and relaxation from interacting with these charming animals.
- Monastery of Hayravank: Explore the mysterious monastery from the 9-12th centuries perched on a rocky hill overlooking Sevan. Our guide will share the legends associated with it.
- Family Cheese Factory: Visit the Mikaelian family-owned cheese factory in the village of Noradus. You will have the opportunity to taste and purchase exquisite varieties of Armenian cheese.
Organizational Details
- The horseback ride is suitable for participants aged 10 and above
- The route of the ride can be modified to include a trip to the dormant volcano of Armaghan or a visit to the Selim Pass and an interesting caravanserai (cost to be confirmed via correspondence)
- The excursion is conducted in a comfortable-class automobile
- I or another guide from our team will lead the tour
