About this experience
I invite you to leave Pattaya for a day and go on a road trip to Chachoengsao Province, during which we will visit all the most interesting attractions of this region.
Program
- Our journey will begin with a visit to the magnificent Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan Temple, located on the western bank of the Bang Pakong River. The temple is always crowded with worshippers who come from distant corners of Thailand to pay homage to Luang Pho Sothon (honorary father Sothon) and 20 other Buddha images. It is customary to offer chicken eggs to the Buddha here so that he may hear and fulfill your wishes and prayers.
- Next, we will visit the ancient Chinese temple Thep Thawi Chaivaphon, over 100 years old - it was built during the reign of the great King Rama V. Everything here exudes antiquity - in architecture, statues, paintings, and other items.
- Then we will head to the so-called Pink Ganesha at Wat Saman Rattanaram Temple, and along the way, we will see the dam on the Bang Pakong River. The temple on the riverbank features unusual statues of Erawan (a three-headed elephant), Pink Ganesha, Vishnu (gods from Indian mythology), and Guan Yin (Chinese goddess of prosperity). The riverbank is fenced with huge dragons, and a giant lotus floats on the river.
- Our next stop is the Parrot and Palm Park! The largest bird park and palm garden in Thailand with hundreds of beautiful tropical parrots, as well as other birds and animals from around the world. In the farm's incubator, you can see the entire process of parrots being born, and in the local shop, you can even buy one of them. The area is quite large, with numerous aviaries with parrots and other feathered creatures, various water bodies with waterfowl, beautiful palm gardens, a hotel under construction in Thai style, so you can walk around the park on foot or rent a golf cart.
- On the way to the Golden Temple, we will stop at an unusual temple with a statue of a black multi-armed Ganesha. This temple is still under construction, but the monumental statue, visible from afar, is worth seeing! The Golden Wat Pak Nam Temple is notable for being covered in gold paint inside and out.
- The last stop of our visit will be the extraordinary Wat Pho Bang Khla Temple, where swarms of flying foxes hang from all the surrounding trees. It is amazing that the foxes live on the trees inside and around the temple, and nowhere else can you see them in such quantities.
