About this experience
This journey will introduce you to the gems of the northern Bulgarian coast of the Black Sea. You will visit the famous Cape Kaliakra and the picturesque ruins of an ancient fortress. You will stroll by the palace of the Romanian queen and taste wines from the 'Royal Winery'. And afterwards, you will pass through the seaside city of Varna to the 'Stone Forest', filled with legends and incredible energy.
What to expect
Cape Kaliakra Landscapes
You will visit the legendary and incredibly picturesque Cape Kaliakra, where the walls and towers of an ancient Thracian-Roman fortress have been preserved. Here you will admire the remarkable sea views, see the monument to Admiral Ushakov, who won a victory over the Turkish fleet in these waters.
Enchantment of the resort town of Balchik
In the seaside town of Balchik, we will take a walk through the fantastically beautiful botanical garden and see the palace of the Romanian Queen Maria, situated above the sea. In one of the park pavilions, you can taste exceptionally delicious wines from the local 'Royal Winery', such as the famous 'snow wine', and if desired, buy a bottle of your favorite variety.
Mysterious 'Stone Forest'
Next, our route will pass through Varna - the capital of the Bulgarian coast with wonderful beaches and a bustling city life. We will have lunch at a seaside restaurant and head out of the city to the unique natural phenomenon of the 'Stone Forest'. You will see how dozens of amazing stone columns of the most bizarre shapes 'grow' right from the ground. Many of them have their own names, and local legends are connected with some of the columns. For example, one of the remote places in the 'Stone Forest', as scientists and psychics assure, possesses a special power and energy.
