About this experience
Such emotions from Istanbul you have not experienced before. We will ride a motorcycle on the main streets, blend in with the crowd at bustling Taksim, cross to the other side of the Bosphorus, and climb up Chamlidja Hill to see the whole city at a glance. You will learn a lot of interesting facts about sultans, mosques, and the history of Turkey. I have been riding a motorcycle for over 10 years - I will drive you gently and safely.
What to expect
Pierre Loti Hill. We will take a funicular to one of the best viewing platforms in the city, overlooking the Golden Horn bay and the city panorama. I will tell the story of seafarer and traveler Pierre Loti. You will also learn why the sultans were crowned in this area.
Taksim Square with its 19th-century architecture, retro trams, antique shops, cozy cafes, and stores. I will explain why Taksim became the country's main square and how the Beyoglu district influenced modern Turkey.
Galata Tower. We will inspect the tower from the outside, but if desired, you can climb it.
Chamlidja Hill - the highest point of the Asian part of the city. If you wish, we will cross the Bosphorus by ferry or drive over the bridge. We will climb Chamlidja Hill, from where you will see the Bosphorus, Topkapi Palace, Galata Tower, and ancient mosques. We will discuss the construction of the Chamlidja mosque, in the architecture of which classical and modern details are so successfully combined.
