About this experience
This will be a unique interactive immersion into the history of Korea. Dressing in national costumes and strolling around the imperial palace and narrow streets, you will feel the true spirit of this country. I will talk about the architecture of palaces and houses, the lives of rulers and their servants, and then take you to a Michelin-starred restaurant.
What to Expect
- You will try on Korean traditional hanbok costumes and feel like noble persons who once lived in the palace
- Visit the imperial palace and, if lucky, see the changing of the guard. I will tell you in detail about the history of Seoul and help take bright photos for memory.
- Walk through the colorful streets of an authentic village in the old part of Seoul, where nobles used to live
- Visit a tea house with a view of the entire village and imperial palace
- Afterwards, change back into your modern clothes. And we will head to a Michelin-starred restaurant on Myeongdong Street, where you will try traditional Korean cuisine - meat dumplings and kimchi.
Organizational Details
- The cost of the tour includes guide services, rental of national clothing, lunch, taxi from your hotel (if it is far away)
- Drinks and desserts for lunch are additional and paid for separately
- I will meet you at your hotel. It is preferable for the hotel to be in the old part of Seoul, otherwise, you will have to get up very early and travel a long way.
- On Tuesdays, the imperial palace is closed, and the changing of the guard is not held. We will walk in another palace. Details will be discussed in the correspondence.
