Kazakhstan has long been famous for horse breeding. And the best way to experience the true spirit of these places is to look at the surrounding nature as nomads did: from the height of a horse saddle. You will go for a ride along the beautiful gorge, listen to the tales of Turkic peoples, and then enjoy a hot tea with Kazakh sweets.
What to Expect
Safe Ride
You will visit the resort "Forest Tale" and take a one-hour horseback ride in one of the most beautiful gorges of Zailiysky Alatau. You will ride on calm, well-trained horses accompanied by an instructor. On the way to the resort, the guide will tell you about the Tian Shan Mountains, the peculiarities of horse breeding of Turkic peoples, and the traditions of local nomads.
Mountains, Gardens, and Sweet Cheese
The route will pass along fruit gardens, which are immersed in flowers in spring and entice with juicy Almaty apples in autumn. You will climb a gentle ridge, from where you will have a breathtaking view of the peaks of Tian Shan: Jubilee Mountain, Koktogay, Koptau, Issyk-Bash, and others.
Upon return to the stable, you will try fragrant herbal tea and taste traditional nomadic delicacies - kurt and zhent (salty and sweet cheese).
Excursion Plan:
10:00 - departure from the city
11:00 - arrival at the stable, safety briefing
11:30-12:00 - horseback ride
12:00-12:30 - tea party
13:00-13:30 - return to the city
