What to expect
Valley of Stone Figures
You will enter a "little Cappadocia" - the mountain rocks of unusual shapes here greatly resemble the "fairy chimneys" from this Turkish region. And the huge stone giants resemble sets from the movie "Avatar". Some even reach heights of 70 meters.
Ancient Selge
It was founded by Greek settlers on the southern slope of the Taurus Mountains presumably after the Trojan War. The city flourished during the Roman period, with its population reaching 20,000 people at that time. You will see the ruins of a gymnasium, tombs, a stadium, a basilica, and a theater that have survived to this day.
Tazy Canyon and its inhabitants
This canyon stretches majestically for 4 kilometers, with its cliffs rising 300-400 meters. Here lives a rare species of birds listed in the Red Book. If we are lucky, we will see the griffon vulture. Its wingspan reaches 2.5 meters.
Itinerary
10:30 - arrival at the main base. Boarding the cabriobuses.
11:00 - cabriosafari through Koprulu Canyon, where you will see the Roman bridges Buygrum and Oluk, into the Valley of Stone Figures. Stop - 20-30 minutes. Departure to Ancient Selge. Walk around it - 20-30 minutes.
13:00 - lunch at the main base. (Menu includes chicken kebab, bulgur, pasta, salad)
14:00 - departure on cabriobuses along the mountain serpentine to Tazy Canyon. Stop in the Canyon - 20-30 minutes. Return to the base.
16:30 - departure on the way back. The arrival time at the hotel depends on its location.
Organizational details
- Transfers from the hotel and back, insurance, lunch (excluding drinks), and the services of a guide (not a historian) are included in the tour price
- Take cash for tour payment and other possible expenses
- Please note! Rafting is not included in the excursion program.
- Transfers are available from all regions of the coast - from Tekirova in Kemer to Kargicak in Alanya. The time spent in the transfer is not included in the total excursion time.
- We recommend wearing comfortable, non-slip shoes. Flip-flops are not suitable.
- You may bring swimwear. Our main base is located on the banks of the Koprucay River. You will have the opportunity to swim.
