About this experience
Why go to the North of Yucatan? To immerse yourself in the culture of the indigenous people of the City of the Black Jaguar. To be within arm's reach of local birds and to stroll through Valladolid, founded by the Spaniards. I will tell you about the Maya and Aztecs, about the conquest of Mexico and the country's life today. And you will also bathe in a mystical sacred cenote and try authentic Mexican cuisine. ¡Vamos!
What to Expect
We will see:
- Ek Balam, or the City of the Black Jaguar - a city of the Maya lost in the Mexican jungle. Here is still possible to climb ancient structures. The most important of them is the 30-meter high acropolis.
- Cenote - a karst sinkhole with fresh water. This is a sacred place for the indigenous people. We will arrive here before the large tourist groups to bathe and refresh in seclusion after visiting Ek Balam.
- Local dishes - we will try traditional cuisine in a buffet format. Cochinita pibil, pico de gallo, sopa de lima, and much more. I will tell you what it is and how to eat it.
- Pink Lakes - their magical color attracts travelers from around the world.
- Biosphere Reserve - we will ride a boat among the mangrove forests in the lagoon of the Mexican Gulf. You will feed pelicans and tropical frigates with fish. Admire flamingos, cormorants, and, of course, crocodiles!
- Colonial city of Valladolid, founded by the Spaniards in the 16th century. Here we will walk around the main square and try local desserts - wafer cigars marquesitas or Mexican ice cream. Also, we can see local souvenirs - coffee, chocolate, cotton, and leather products.

- Desserts in Valladolid are optional and paid for separately
What to bring:
- Comfortable shoes and hats, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, as well as a towel and swimsuit
