Chichen Itza
The city of the Itza tribe was first mentioned in the mid-5th century AD, but its main buildings date back to the 10th-11th centuries. The focal point of the cult complex remains the Kukulkan pyramid, a UNESCO-listed site and the most famous monument in Yucatan. We will discuss the architectural features of the construction, which has given rise to many theories about its purpose. Explore the ball game court, observatory, Temple of Warriors, and other archaeological park sites. In the political and cultural center of the Mayans, you will get up close and personal with this enigmatic ancient civilization.

Karst sinkhole, or cenote
Ten minutes from Chichen Itza lies another Yucatan gem - Ik Kil cenote. The system of underground rivers, spanning over 300 kilometers, provides the necessary moisture to the surrounding vegetation and is part of a unique ecosystem. At the cenote, you can not only take fabulous photos but also swim in the refreshing waters. The area has clean changing rooms, restrooms, and lockers for storing your belongings.

We will take a lunch break at a local restaurant - you will taste Mexican or European cuisine dishes and drinks of your choice.

Colonial city of Valladolid
After lunch, we will explore the 16th-century Spanish colonial architecture. Stroll through the colorful streets of the historic center, visit the Catholic cathedral and the main square. At the city market, you can buy local souvenirs and enjoy a cup of coffee on the way back to the hotel.
