On our walk to the most interesting viewpoints of Genoa, I will tell you about the city with the challenging character of its locals, yet so mysterious and far from the formal life. Where the enchanting world of art closely neighbors craftsmanship, and the narrow 'caruggi' alleys are filled with stories of love affairs and intrigues of local aristocrats - you will hear about them too. About the first bank in the world, about the crusades, about churches with works by Italian and Flemish masters. About the fascinating black and white stripes and luxurious frescoes of the Renaissance Palaces, more than 40 of which have been included in UNESCO's 'Golden List' of cultural heritage.
