About this experience
To understand the country, you must try its traditional cuisine! That's exactly what we'll do on a gastronomic walk through the Old Town. We will stroll through the narrow streets of Kaleici and visit non-touristy cafes to taste delicious soups, appetizers, and desserts. You will see that Turkish cuisine is not just kebabs and appreciate the dishes loved by the locals.
What to Expect
Gastro-immersion in Antalya's Old Town
The most exciting culinary discoveries await you in the central district of Kaleici. Our route will take us through the colorful streets of Kaleici, ancient mosques, the copper market, the central square, and magnificent panoramas. But we won't stop there: we will find authentic cafes, restaurants, and street food corners. You will learn about Turkish dishes that are not served in hotels and peek into specialized spice shops, many of which cannot be found in other countries.
Local Eats: Trying Turkish Culinary Masterpieces
In 3 hours, you will taste what ordinary local residents of Antalya eat:
- try one of the traditional soups: chorba mergimek, tavuk chorba, ezogelin, or kele pacha - your choice
- for the main course, taste one of the most delicious Iskender kebabs at a kebab house that has been open since 1885
- and to finish - a break for a cup of coffee, brewed in the sand in the best Turkish traditions!
Through the national cuisine, you will discover the colorful lives of local residents. And you will also be able to take a walk through Kaleici with our historian guide, not only to try Turkish cuisine but also to learn historical facts.
