About this experience
In one day, you will combine the main themes of Ural history - the founding of the Iron Edge and the mystery of the murder of the royal family. You will learn how the ironworks plant appeared in Russia and why pilgrims gather at the site where the bodies of the Romanovs were taken after the execution. And also - you will visit the border between Asia and Europe.
What to expect
Border between Europe and Asia. You will see a soaring stela and stand at the conditional border between two parts of the world. Here you can take unusual photos.
Leaning Nevyansk Tower and Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral. You will hear legends of the iron city and learn who the Demidovs are, why an ironworks plant was built in Russia, and why the tower leans. Optionally, visit the local museum.
Monastery of the Holy Martyrs of Ganina Yama. This is the place where the bodies of the members of the royal family were brought on the night of the bloody tragedy in Yekaterinburg and thrown into one of the mines. Thousands of pilgrims and history enthusiasts now gather here.
Organizational details
