About this experience
We will travel to ancient Egyptian cities, to the very origins of antiquity! In Dendera, you will discover the temple of the goddess Hathor, which lay in the sands until the 19th century and therefore has reached us in perfect condition. And then you will get acquainted with the monuments of Abydos, preserving the aura of holiness longer than any other place in Egypt.
What to expect
Dendera. The history of this small city on the west bank of the Nile dates back to the predynastic era of Egypt. This is evidenced by ancient tombs at the wall of the temple of Hathor. The temple has been preserved almost in its original form - for many centuries it was completely hidden by the sands. Here you will see magnificent monuments: the Mamisi - the temple of the Divine Birth, the Sacred Lake, the Hypostyle Hall with 18 columns, the Hall of the Priestesses, and much more.
Abydos. One of the oldest cities, it preserved its aura of holiness longer than any other place in Egypt. It was the center of the cult of the god Osiris - the most beloved god of the Egyptians. You will visit the temple of Pharaoh Seti I with incredible images on the walls. The temple of Seti is also famous for the list of pharaohs - the "Abydos list", where the cartouches of 76 rulers of Ancient Egypt are carved. And you will also appreciate the Osireion with its canals - the most sacred tomb of the ancient Egyptians, where, according to legend, Isis buried the head of the god Osiris.
