About this experience
We have combined Dendera and Luxor for you to visit the maximum interesting places in one trip. You will be transported to the pages of a history textbook of the ancient world: walk along the famous Sphinx Alley, find the mysterious zodiac and the world's only image of Cleopatra, visit ancient temples and uncover their secrets.
What to expect
Dendera
The Temple of Hathor is the first stop on our route. Thousands of Egyptians used to come here to give praise to their beloved goddess. It was mainly women who worshiped her: they asked for help if there were no children in the family, or 'sought support' for upcoming births. The building has been well preserved as it was buried under the sands until the end of the 19th century. We will go inside, find one of the three strongest energy points of the world, see a unique image of Cleopatra. You will also see the Dendera Zodiac—the oldest astrological and astronomical symbols.
Luxor
- From Dendera, we will head to the 'City of the Living'. You will visit the Karnak Temple—the largest temple complex in Ancient Egypt. Each new pharaoh added to the buildings in their own way, trying to bring even more splendor and monumentality. Here you truly feel the vibes of centuries past, feeling like a part of a history textbook of the ancient world. In addition to the temples dedicated to the supreme god Amun-Ra, his wife Mut, and son Khonsu, on the territory you will see the Sphinx Alley, the scarab beetle statue, the sacred lake, the obelisk courtyard, and the hypostyle hall.
- Then we will move to the left bank of the Nile—to the Valley of the Kings, also known as the 'City of the Dead'. You will visit the temple of Queen Hatshepsut carved into the rock. With its size, decorations, and architectural design, it is truly stunning! You will admire the famous Colossi of Memnon and learn why they are still called 'singing'. Optionally, after the main program, you can take a boat ride to Banana Island.
